A crucial part of good maintenance is to develop a culture of maintenance best practice in the workplace. This course will enable your tradespeople to understand what constitutes best practice and how to apply it. The Maintenance Best Practice course consists of 5 days classroom tuition with a qualified and experienced tutor that will set the foundation for your workforce to adopt international maintenance best practice. It will give a clear understanding of the benefits of adopting best practice, which will have a positive influence on workplace culture and attitudes towards maintenance. Ultimately the knowledge gained from this course will lead to greater reliability, reduced downtime and a more productive workforce
Unit standard outcome:
Successful completion of this course leads to unit standard 26564 - Demonstrate and Apply Knowledge of BCM (Business Centred Maintenance) in Mechanical Engineering. Level 5, Credits 10. This unit standard can be used to partly satisfy the General & Maintenance engineering strand in the National Certificate of Mechanical Engineering Level 5 or the Electrotechnology strand in the National Certificate of Electrical Engineering Level 5 (advanced trade)
To be assessed for this unit standard you will need to:-
- Complete classroom exercises throughout the course
- Pass an exam on the last day
- Complete and pass a project in the workplace within 2 months of completing the course. E-mail support is given to help with this
